so, the kitchen has a floor and the door to the cellar no longer needs to be lifted in and out of position. this may seem trivial to everyone else but after 18 months of stubbed toes and trapped fingers my dreams have come true and mike and his dad have done the floor and hung new does. its brill!!!!!!
sometimes its the little things that count. a finished floor gives me the need to mop and clean. the kitchen is now liveable. james can eat in his funky high chair without me wondering if the funky high chair in question is going to wobble off the existing tiles onto the old floor. i can sweep up and i don't live in 3inches of dog hair(see other posting) and my toes are feeling the difference already as they don't meet the end of the tiles on a regular basis any more!
i am over the moon. i can not describe the feeling i have at the minute, my house is becoming a home at last, as much as mike wants to sell it, and after 3 1/2 years, i can make a cuppa in a fine looking kitchen, finished it isn't but by god is it looking good!

Don't sell just yet anyway.....enjoy the luxury of your home and then in a few yrs sell it........
Is it really really neraly finished........says CAROL questioningly
kind of nearly, sort of, maybe!!!
it needs the wall plastering. the tiling by the cellar door finishing, the skirting boards, the ceiling where john and mike made a hole playing with wires, the plastering around the door and window, the coving to go back up and decorating plus a few other little jobs. it doesnt matter though! i've got a floor!!!!!
